Domaine Ste. Michelle Extra Dry 2017
Some people think that sailing season in the PNW ends in August. But here I am in September with our wonderful Twitter reps enjoying sparkling wine on a perfect almost Fall evening! Does it still feel like summer where you are? Traditionally Seattle Summer’s last into mid-October, so hopefully we have a few more weeks of great weather before the colder weather and rainy Fall settles in.
This sparkling wine is from Washington’s well know Château St. Michelle winery. I normally go with the Brut bottle, but this Extra Dry definitely hit the spot tonight! Not so cheap you need to make it a mimosa, not too expensive where you feel like you need glass flutes to sip on it. Flavors of crisp apple. A fun bit of bubbles to add to any tailgate, sailgate, or Monday funday.
They suggest you pair this sparkling wine with sushi, Pan-Asian cuisine, or Mexican food. I didn’t pair it with any food (oops!) but these seem like valid options.
