By.Ott Cotes de Provence Rosé 2016
Ever been staring at a wall of wine thinking "Ok, I can't go to cheap in case they check the price, but I also want it to taste amazing and I don't drink expensive wines enough to know which one will impress people" ? That was me trying to shop for a rose to take to my sister's backyard barbeque.
Using Vivino (the most incredible app, I swear it saves you lots of wasted time on bad wine) I tried scanning every row of bottles in the $15-$25 range. I landed on this rose from France partly because of the 3.8 rating and partly because I thought the bottle looked expensive. I broke my budget a bit and splurged for the $21.00 price tag but it was worth it! This wine proved to be a great pair with appetizers and had melon and berry notes.
The bottle was gone quickly and we enjoyed the long summer night. Even my nephews got to stay up later than usual. This is Carter, staring at his ice cream like I stare at a bottle of wine. Runs in the family.
