Erath Wines Pinot Noir 2015

That Fall Seattle weather making sailing still possible in September!

That Fall Seattle weather making sailing still possible in September!

There’s nothing better than crisp and sunny fall days. They’ve already hit up here in Seattle! Which really means I’m allowed to drink ALL the red wine at all times of the day. On the sailboat this week, besides popping champagne, we opened a local PNW Pinot Noir. What’s your favorite red wine to take on Fall activities??

This Pinot Noir is from Oregon. It’s a really decent Pinot for the price with an earthy nose, red fruits, and a little oak! It’s pretty smooth and medium bodied. It’s also a screw top, which makes it so much easier to take on boats. I have a few sailgating weekends coming up and this may be coming with me (along with multiple other bottles as well). Happy #winewednesday friends!

Some tasting notes from their site tell you to pair this wine with “Thai or Chinese pepper sauce, grilled scallops, thin crust pizza margherita, pasta with red sauce, zesty BBQ”. We had BBQ chicken sub sandwichs and potato chips, and they paired great as well! Practically the same wave length.

Happy drinking!
